This is Halloween

Oak loved Halloween this year, and I think he actually understood what was going on. He remembered how to trick-or-treat and everything. As soon as he was done at one house he'd run to the next house. Kayla came and went with us around our block. She wasn't as speedy, so it slowed Oak down a little, but I think she understood a little too cause she wouldn't let any of us carry her bag. She wasn't letting go of that candy for one minute. It took about an hour and a half, and by the end their pumpkins were overflowing with candy. Of course mom and dad got to have some, mainly the chocolate ones. Oak's favorite candies were the suckers. He loves suckers. He's been really good about having some healthy food before he gets to choose two treats from his pumpkin.

We also watched "The Nightmare Before Christmas" with Oak the other night and he loved it. He sat and watched the whole thing. Then afterwards he walked around singing "This is Halloween, this is Halloween" over and over. He's a funny kid.
