Piled in the car heading to California. I am so grateful to have a built in DVD player. It makes the ride much more bearable.
And this is how Tyson slept most nights.
The first day there was spent almost entirely on the beach. I think we were out there for three or four hours straight.
Of course we had to enjoy some frozen yogurt after a long day at the beach.
We also discovered this cool shop with reptiles. The boys loved looking at all the lizards and turtles.
Walking down the pier is one of our favorite things to do. I don't think anyone licked it this time, but who knows, maybe they did.
One day it was a little overcast so we went and got our nails done and the kids played inside with some of the Legos they got from grandma and grandpa.
Dax loves his grandpa. It's the funniest thing. He's like attached to him whenever he sees him. I think this is the longest he has ever held someone's hand at one time.
The boys are still the perfect age for Legoland so we went again this year. Grandma decided to join us and it was nice to have an extra hand to keep track of the boys.
Dax fell asleep at one point, but he was a little ornery when he woke up. It was great cause he was tall enough to go on almost every ride there.
Dax loved all the Star Wars legos.
This is such a precious picture of Dax relaxing on the couch with his dog. One morning grandma and grandpa watched the boys while Wes and I went to the San Diego temple. We love this temple. It is so beautiful.
Another day on the beach, enjoying the sun and the sand.
One of my favorite things about going to oceanside is sitting on the porch and watching the sun set. It is one of the most beautiful things on earth.
California sure wears us all out.
This was our last day on the beach. It was a little overcast, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the day. We build this sweet sand castle-like thing. And then the boys broke it. Of course.
The last sunset was definitely the best.
