Amber's Graduation

My oldest niece graduated this year. Boy am I getting old. She is such a cutie, and we were privileged to be able to attend her graduation at Abravanel Hall.
The best part of the whole thing was that I kept telling Oakley that we have to cheer loud when it's Amber's turn to walk across the stage. It was finally her turn and they called her name. We all yelled and cheered, then Oakley asked "When do I yell?" I told him right now, yell go Amber really load. So he did right while it was super quiet. Everybody giggled. I got it on video, and we all couldn't stop laughing. That silly boy.

AVP press conference

This summer the AVP is running a tournament right here in Utah at Liberty Park. Since I'm on the UOVA board I was invited to attend their press conference where they announced the plans and who would be attending. Jake Gibb grew up here and is an Olympian in sand volleyball. He was there and announced that he was excited for the AVP to come back to his home town. Afterwards he jumped on the court and played a little with the guys they had scrimmaging there. I got a few videos of him. It was fun to see the excitement from everybody there. I already bought my tickets and we will be there as much as possible those days. Yay!

Church History Museum

We got to go down to the Church History Museum one day and watch Katy's kids while Katy and Bret went to a wedding at the temple. Parker had just learned to walk so he was walking all over the place. Kayla and Oakley played together and danced, and Tyson ran all over tearing everything apart. It was fun though. I love the little kids area there. If you haven't gone, you should, and it's free!

Afterwards, the boys and I walked over to the temple and took a few pictures. It was such a nice day.

Natural History Museum

I bought a groupon for the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point and had to hurry and use it, so we took Katy, Kayla, Parker, and our friends Nicole and Snow, although I didn't get a picture of them for some reason. All of the kids love the museum. Tyson couldn't stop saying "Roar" to all the dinosaurs. It was so fun.

New Fence

We have this huge side yard that was part of our front yard, and I've always wanted to fence it in and incorporate it into our backyard. Well, after the long winter, and having bigger boys that just need more space to run, our fence got bumped up on our priorities list. We got a few different bids and thought of putting it up ourselves, but in the end it was only a few hundred dollars for the labor, and Wes and I really didn't want to do it. So we hired someone to come install it. They were so speedy. The first day I think they were there for maybe three hours digging the holes and setting the posts. Then a week later, I left to go to the mall for a bit, and two hours later I drove around the corner and saw my fence completely up. They were so speedy and the fence looks great.
The best part is that now that it's fenced in it looks twice as big as before. We love it. Now we just need a playset or a garden over there. Maybe next year.

Jordan River Bike Ride

The Youth in our ward went on a Bike ride one Saturday morning a few weeks ago. Wes was playing volleyball so I decided to take my kids in the Bike Trailer. We started at Gardner Village and rode on the Jordan River trail North. We were suppose to ride for an hour and then turn around and go back for lunch. Well, we only made it to 4800 South cause we stopped at a playground. It was a long way for my boys to be squished in that little trailer, especially Oakley. I think he's almost outgrown it. We had a great time, and loved being with all the cute youth in our ward.

Pool party with Brady

One Saturday Oakley's friend Brady came over while his parents tore apart their kitchen floor. Oakley and him played so well together. It's reassuring to see that Oakley can play nicely with other kids. I was a little worried there for a while because he was becoming really bossy, which isn't fun for his friends, but he's getting much better about taking turns and sharing. They loved playing in the water outside and hiding under their towels to get warm. They are silly.

Wheeler Farm

We love Wheeler farm, especially cause it's so close. We went over one Friday night as a family and enjoyed all the animals.
