This year we put Oakley in "real" baseball with the Brighton Cal Ripkin league. Wes decided to coach the team, since he knows a little about baseball. It was fun to see how much the boys learned through the season, and all the boys were cute and worked hard.
By the end of the season, Oak was getting on base regularly, and even hit a game winner in one game. He also got to learn how to be the catcher because he was the only one that was big enough to wear the gear. He also got hit by the pitch a few times. One left a good bruise on his side. Tyson and Dax were good sports and enjoyed watching the games as well.
In all it was a fun league and the boys ended up taking 5th place after being ranked 9th in the tournament. We were very proud of them and all they learned and accomplished.
