September 2018

Grandma and Grandpa had so much fun a few years ago when we booked a room in Park City over Labor Day weekend that this year they did it again and asked us to join them. We swam in the pool and the hot tub. Then we went and had dinner and roamed Walmart. Dax found a scooby-Doo head and looked so funny with it on. Then we headed back to the room to sleep for the night.
The next morning we packed up and went over to the Alpine slide. This was the first time that all of us have ridden it. Dax went with Dad, but the rest of us rode by ourselves. The boys had fun, but both Tyson and Oakley were a little slow. Grandpa caught up to Oak in the end. It was fun though.
After the Alpine slide we headed to Main street to catch the parade. We found a nice spot and were able to see the whole parade. The boys love parades especially dancing to the fun music. It was a perfect way to spend Labor Day weekend.
The Elementary school had their annual fun run. I love going to watch the boys. They both did so well and were some of the first ones finished in their respective grades. Way to go boys.
Since we didn't really get to celebrate our anniversary, I planned a surprise night up in Layton and a night by ourselves at Lagoon's frightmares. It was fun to just be there with the two of us, even if I did get sick on one of the rides and had to lay down for a while. I think I'm getting too old for all that craziness.
Westminster Volleyball invited all of their alumni to one of their games and then to have pizza afterwards. I made sure Ruth knew about it and our families had a fun time at the game and chatting with each other. We need to get together with them more.
Wes took the boys to their first Demolition derby. They had  a ton of fun watching those cars run into each other.
We finally go the chance to go to frightmares as a family. The boys had a blast, and the older two even went in one of the scarier haunted houses. We took Dax through the least scary one, but he just had a death grip on Wes the whole time, so we decided he wasn't quite ready for those yet.
Hanging out with Eliza at Gardner village is one of our favorite things. These two cousins just love each other. They remind me of when Oakley and Kayla were little and we do everything with them.
This was the first year that all three boys were in the Primary program at church. Here they are after, showing me how excited they were to have it all over with. The boys did great, even Dax got up and said his part, really loud into the microphone.
