October 2018

It isn't autumn unless we make it to Wheeler Farm with our friends the Grahams. We love to climb on all the tractors and trucks and see all the fun animals.
For Oakley's tenth birthday, I took him out of school and let him choose where to go for lunch. He wanted to go to McDonalds so that's what we did. Then that evening we had a party for him at Laser Quest with a few of his friends. We had never been there, but the party was way fun. The boys got to go through the laser tag twice and then at the end they had a leaf blower blow toilet paper at Oakley while everyone sand happy birthday. We also had pizza and went home and had cake.
Kayla was in The Wizard of Oz play in South Jordan, so Oakley and I went and watched her. She was the best little munchkin. Oakley really loves going to plays. We need to get him to more.

Oakley got to play soccer this fall. It's always so funny to see him next to his teammates. He looks more like a coach than a player. He did great this season. He made at least one goal almost every game. He is getting really good. If only you needed height for soccer.
Halloween is our kid's favorite time of year. They love to go the costume stores and see all the scary stuff there. Tyson isn't afraid of any of it. He loved this creepy baby and the spade with the head. Who's child is this?
One last trip to Frightmares before it closed. There were quite a few people there, so we ended up doing the simple things like the hay maze and taking fun pictures all around. We did find a ride that nobody was on, Rattlesnake rapids. It was chilly, but not chilly enough to pass up a ride with no line. Tyson and Oakley went on it about 5 times, over and over, until it finally stopped running. Hey, you do what you do. This summer has been fun with our season passes. We are bummed it's coming to an end.
Wendee invited us to come up to Logan during fall break and see the pumpkin walk. Businesses and families, and whoever wants to participate, set up life size displays made out of pumpkins. These were some of our favorites. Mom and I went and took Katy's kids and met Wendee and Amber there. They also had a fun area with all these wooden figures that the kids could stick their heads in. They were really cute.

Afterwards we went to Caspers and got ice cream for everyone. Then since we were up there we had to let the kids go back to the farm and play with the kittens and dog and enjoy the outdoors with their cousins. Tyson, Parker, Wendee, and I played a game of Ticket to Ride. Boy did that take a lot of patience. They did really well though and we all had a fun day.

I have never wanted to carve pumpkins with the boys because it just seems like a lot of work, but this year they asked to and since they are older now we decided to do it. They each chose what they wanted on their pumpkins. Oakley drew a scary pumpkin face, Dax wanted the bat symbol, Tyson wanted the 'like' hand, and I wanted Jack Skelington. They turned out really cool.
This year for Halloween the two older boys wanted to be characters from a video game they play called Overwatch. Tyson was the Reaper, and Oakley was Genji, and Wes decided to match them, so he was Soldier 76. Dax really wanted to be Batman, so I decided to match him, and I ended up being Robin.
The ward party and trunk or treat was a blast. Our kids are getting to a fun age, and they are pretty well behaved.
Katy has a zoo pass, so she took us there while the kids were off school. The boys always love it. This time they were obsessed with the red panda. It really is one of the cutest animals ever. The boys also decided to spend some of their birthday money to buy stuffed red pandas. Dax also got a stuffed giraffe.
Another win with my baby mamas team. Best gals around!
And a fun officiating crew for one of the finals at State. These girls are a blast to work with.
Dax was almost helpful while I was raking up the leaves in the front yard. He was good at letting me lay in the afterwards though.
School parade pictures. It was such a beautiful day and the kids looked great in their costumes. Tyson was even playing the part and acting all dark and dreary.
The crew heading out to trick-or-treat. Another successful Halloween in the books.
