April 2018

Once in a while we go to a different library other than the Whitmore library which is the one closest to our house. Here are the boys at the Holladay library, which has some fun toys to play with.
For Spring break we just ended up having a staycation like usual. We enjoyed the sun at the Holladay Park on one of the days.
Another day of Spring Break we went to Classic Fun Center and had a blast. The boys brought their scooters, and we even met Kylo Ren.
It's not spring break without playing with cousins in the yard.
Being on the UOVA board has it's benefits some times. We had the opportunity to go to the KUTV studios and be on Good Things Utah, a morning show here in Utah. It was really cool to see behind the scenes stuff that goes on. For our segment, we were outside and a few of us were playing volleyball in the background while one of my friends was talking to the host and answering questions. It was a fun experience.
My parent's had their condo over the weekend of the UOVA opener in St. George, so Wes and I took advantage. We ended up playing together in the Coed division and taking first place. It was a blast to play together. The boys slept over at their cousin's house the night before and hung out with them while we played. Of course at the end of the day we had to jump in the hot tub and give our muscles a little tlc.
One night while we were there I went to check on the boys and found this craziness. Oakley's head was off the bed and he was totally turned sideways.
We love going down there and just enjoying each other. The boys love all the attention they get from us, as you can see in the picture of Tyson and Wes.
On this trip we introduced the game Telestrations to Tyson. He loved it and couldn't get enough of it. He made us all laugh with his pictures and imagination. This is what he thought that picture looked like. :)

While we are down there we always like exploring new places that we haven't seen before. We hadn't been to Snow Canyon State Park for a while, so we ventured there and found some really cool spots. One spot had really white sand compared to the red sand that we are used to down there. It was called the amphitheater. We also climbed to the top of a huge rock formation and enjoyed the view from up there.
This little hole on one of the hikes, was a hit. I think Tyson got stuck trying to climb through there.
Another hike took us to this really high cave formation, that was a little scary to let the boys climb up there, but they loved exploring. We all survived, thankfully.
I love watching my boys explore and be in nature. I need to take them there more often. They love it so much.
We were surprised to see that the park we go to often was completely torn down and rebuilt into a new all abilities park type thing. The boys had fun on this big swing, but boy was it hard for me to push them.
Thunder Junction is always a must when we go to St. George. It never gets old.
The Jordan River Temple has been under renovatoin for the past few years. They finally finished it and had an open house. We were able to take the boys through it and show them the inside of the temple. They had lots of questions and I think they enjoyed it. Afterwards we went to a place we had never been, Zaxby's, and the boys loved it. I think this will be a regular for our family now.
This year for Christmas we all got season Lagoon passes and we were finally able to use them. It was so much fun to go and enjoy the nonbusy day in the spring when not everyone is there. The kids are the perfect age for this and the perfect height. Oak and Ty can pretty much go on any ride, so they went with Dad and Dax stayed with me most of the time.
I think we are going to love these passes this year.
At the consignment sale I found a game called Kinder Bunnies, which is just like Killer Bunnies, but kid friendly and much easier for them to play. It has become a family favorite.
One day Dax decided Baymax needed to come with us on our errands, so he buckled him in the car and off we went.
One of our teammates from the Baby Mamas team is getting married. We had a fun bachelorette shower for her at Red Robin. I love this group of girls that I get to spend every monday night killing on the court with.
