School pictures at their finest.
For one of my matches at Weber State I got to work with three other amazing women. This was my first time that the whole crew was women. Often I am the only female on the crew. We had to document the momentous occasion.
And we all had fun cheering on our cousin Renzo in his football game.
Oakley's birthday was pretty low key. All he wanted to do was go to KTR, which is an indoor trampoline/obstacle park. So he got a cake and went there with his friends. He did hit a milestone and passed me in height.
I think the best thing that happened this year to our family, is that we got NEW CARPET!! We have lived with the ugly maroon carpet since we moved in, and our plan was to change it out right away. But then other projects started taking precedence and having three boys spilling and peeing all over the floor made sense to just leave the crappy carpet for a while. Well, our boys are older now, so we made the leap. I ended up painting all the brown walls a lighter gray color and we had baseboards put in. It took a lot of prep work and moving things around, but it all turned out great. It was gross to see how much dust was under the old carpet. Our house seriously feels brand new now.
When I travel, I get to eat at some yummy places. here are a few meals from my weekend in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
The boys love going to the Halloween store. It is one of their favorite things to do in the fall. I'm surprised they are not more afraid of this ugly spider. Oak even tried to kiss it.
He also purchased a fedora that he wore to school for a few weeks. I'm glad he has that much confidence.
More babysitting Ben's girls. They sure are cute. And they gave me an excuse to pull out the wagon again.
Oak's first football playoff game was against Bingham. A few days before the game one of the player's brothers died unexpectedly, so our team got a bunch of balloons and they had a moment before the game with both teams. It was really touching and awesome to see all the players come together to support the Bingham player.
We ended up losing the game and that ended our season. Oak was pretty sad, but they played well all year and we are excited for high school season next year.
That same night, Margo had extra tickets to the Utah football game against USC, so Oakley and his friend Noah went. This cheered them up a bit after their sad loss earlier. The game ended up being the best one of the year and Utah barely pulled out the win. They had a great time.
Another niece got married on a gorgeous day. Sara and Sawyer were married in the Ogden temple. It was fun to be there again with everyone.
Bowling with cousins during fall break.
Oakley played the trombone the past two years in band, but this year they needed a tuba player, so he switched and has been playing the tuba. He really enjoys band. Here he is at a fun concert at the high school all dressed up in halloween costumes. He also went with some friends to the Fear Factory escape room.
The boys are getting older, but they still love to dress up. Oak was the best this year. He was Ace Ventura and he looked just like him. Tyson was a glowing stick figure, and Dax was Sonic. They had fun at the ward Halloween party and then trick-or-treating with friends.
