September 2022

Football season is so fun. This year Oakley seems bigger than ever. Here he is standing tall above even the coaches and the officials. He also had the whole youth group come support him at one of his games. And his little cousin, Renzo, happened to be playing at the same field one day so they got to cheer each other on.
This is definitely the year for weddings. The first one was Emma Hursts. It was fun to go up and be a part of their amazing day. All of the siblings and mom and dad were there, so that was pretty amazing to be in the temple with everyone. I was asked to make the cake for the reception. It wasn't a regular cake, but one made out of watermelon and fruit. It turned out really well, and it was fun to make.
I was out of town in August, so we pushed back Dax's baptism to September. He was able to be baptized with his friend who lives across the street, Isla. They were both so excited and we had a great night all our family and friends there to support him.
Oakley got his braces off!!!
There are five boys in our ward that are all the same age. For the primary program they got to play the bells with one of the songs. Our music leader does great and practiced with them every week. It was beautiful.
I also got to watch Julie and Ben's cute babies a few times. They loved the swing in front of our house.
Dax chose to be Sonic for Halloween, and of course as soon as we got the costume he wanted to wear it every day. Here he is playing battleship with me, watching his iPad, and setting up flags with his brothers. Bet you've never seen that before.
Since this is Oak's last year in little league football, I had to document the 4th Annual Rock Paper Scissors Championship. Wes did this for psych night once a year and the kids loved it. This year the trophy was so sweet. Easton Gustafson ended up winning. It was a fun tradition.
