We made it to Oceanside. We stopped in Las Vegas for one night so we didn't have to drive the whole way in a day. That gave us enough time to play in the ocean on the first night, and it did not disappoint. The sunset was amazing.
We decided that we needed to go to Legoland one more time before the kids got too old to enjoy it, so on Monday we went. The boys are the perfect age and all the rides were a blast. The Ninjago ride was closed, which was my favorite last time, but that was ok. And the churro place was closed. Bummer. Other than that, we went on all the rides and walked right on to them.
It was cool to see the Lego studio where they build all of the sculptures. There were so many Legos in there and their organization was on par.
I love looking at the miniature cities. New York and las Vegas were my favorite.
This was the very last year Oakley could ride in these little cars, cause it is for 13 year olds and under. He looked so funny in that tiny car.
The next day was a little over cast so we ended up just walking along the beach and not getting in the water, except Tyson of course cause he can't stay out. It was cool to look down underneath the pier and see all the columns. After we came back we all got in the hot tub, even the littles. This is the first time we have let them come with us and they loved it.
I made the boys dress up and take family photos while we were all there with Margo. They don't enjoy photos. But then they got to go play on the beach for a little bit again and we all walked miles to this Mexican restaurant. Tyson got sick so Wes and I took an Uber back with him and everyone else had to walk back. It was seriously forever.
We got a two day pass to Legoland so we went back on Thursday. We decided to go to the aquarium that is there since we had never been. It was ok, but not nearly as good as the one here at home.
It was a little chillier this day, but that didn't stop us from having fun. We went on all our favorite rides again, and more that we hadn't gone on the first day. I think by the end we were Lego'd out.
We got another beach day. I made the boys recreate one of the photos I use for one of my credit cards. It was pretty funny.
Recreating another photo from Oakley's first trip to Oceanside.
And Tyson always has to get his picture with Tyson Street.
And Dinner at our new favorite place.
Our last night there we walked out to the pier during the sunset and it was pretty sweet.
Wes and Oakley were staying in Las Vegas to go to the Bengal game on Sunday, so I decided to take Tyson and Dax on their first plane ride home. They were great.
Wes and Oak stayed at the Luxor on Saturday night and then went to the football game on Sunday. The Bengals ended up winning and they had an amazing time.
