This year we drove part of the way down to California on Saturday, so we got there early enough on Sunday to play in the water. It is always nice extend your vacation. We even went to Ruby's for dinner that night. The boys got some fun balloon animals.
Monday morning we got up early and surprised the kids that we were going to Disneyland. They were so excited and couldn't wait to get there. We gave them all new orange shirts so we could find them easier, and it worked really well. Grandma and Grandpa came too and they enjoyed watching the excitement on the boy's faces.
The first thing we did, was go to Star Wars land and ride the Millenium Falcon. It was pretty amazing. Wes was like a kid in a candy store. He was the most excited of us all.
I tried to just enjoy the day and not be a picture nazi, so here are just a few randoms that I took throughout our day. Wes ended up making an appointment to make a real lightsaber. He took the two boys in with him and they made their very own lighsaber. Probably one of Wes's best memories of the trip.
Tuesday we slept in and just hung out on the beach for the day. This was our recovery day from the exhausting day we had at Disneyland. It was so nice to have this day to recuperate.
Wednesday we were back at Disneyland. It was just the boys and Wes and me. It was a little rainy, but that made the crowds stay away. We didn't mind at all because most of the lines are inside, or covered and it would only rain for a little bit and then stop. We went to California Adventure and road all the big rides again. It was a fun and exhausting day. Dax even fell asleep on the shuttle back to the parking lot.
Tyson decided to tell the stormtrooper that his dad had a lightsaber, and the stormtrooper didn't like that too much.
The rest of the vacation was spent on the beach and eating yummy food, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Man do we love this vacation every year.
