June 2017

June started out with a bang this year. We got to go down to St. George for a few days with my parents and the Della-Pianas. We love it down there.
This was our first time to Sand Hollow Reservoir and boy did we have a great time. The sand was beautiful, the water was beautiful, and we got to try out grandpa's new SUP.

We also found a fun new playground called Thunder Junction with a small splash pad and a volcano that really erupts. The boys had a blast there.
They even had a fun train that takes you around the park. I'm sure we will be coming here every time we are in town.
It wouldn't be St. George if we didn't have hours and hours of swimming with our cousins. They boys love to swim and love it even more when their cousins are there.
Dax's new travelling snack of choice is Cheetos. Too bad it makes such a mess, but he loves them something good.
When we got home I took the boys to a little birthday party with our friends, and I had to get our yearly picture of Oakley and Kaelyn. She is only 9 months younger than him, but they are quite different in size.
Daddy took the older boys to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2, so Dax and I went on a little dat ourselves. He loved being with just mommy at In n' Out and Walmart. Fun Times!
Oakley's teacher was pretty much fired the last three weeks of school, and the kids were all sad that they didn't get to say goodbye. So the parents put together a little party on the last day at the park up the street. It was fun for them to see her one last time and have fun together.
And here he is, on his last day of 2nd grade. He is getting so old, soon he'll be in middle school.
There is a new splash park in Bluffdale that is huge. We went and tried it out with Katy and her kids. The place was packed and it was a little chaotic, but we survived, and we'll probably go back again once the novelty wears off.
Our first day at Seven Peaks this summer. I just keep buying passes. We can't stay away from this place.
Silly Dax found Daddy's old helmet and wouldn't take it off. He even wore it while we were saying the prayer at night. He is a silly kid. He also found some stickers and decided to decorate his arm with them.

Well, we sort of got talked into buying a new garage door. Aunt Julie was dropping off the boys one day and she didn't put her car in park while they were getting unbuckled. The car started rolling forward and she went to slam on the break but hit the gas instead and plowed into the garage taking it right off the tracks and bending the whole thing. Julie did help pay for it, and I have wanted a new garage door, so there wasn't much persuasion needed there.
For Katy's birthday she was a little bummed that nobody did anything for her that day, so we went out and had a little party in the sprinklers. Then we went for frozen yogurt. Happy Birthday Katy!
This year our Stake went to This is the Place park and did a trek for two days. Since I'm in the Stake YW of course I got to go with them. It was a great experience and nice to only have it as 2 days.
Summer Days playing with friends and summer Nights hanging out on the porch.
Dax loves wearing goggles on his head, not his eyes, just his head.
We had a fun outing at Wheeler farm with our friends the Reichs. The farm has these fun carvings now made out of old cottonwood trees. They were fun to see.
Another soccer league in the books. This time we did it at Holladay Lions. Oak loves playing and he's pretty good at it. Tyson likes being there and runs around, but wasn't very focused this time. That's ok, he still had fun and made some friends.

Wes got to coach Oakley's team and that was pretty fun for both of them. I can't believe how much bigger Oakley is than the rest of the kids. If only he knew how to use his height to his advantage. Some day he may figure it out.

Oakley had his first day at cub scout camp. He was filthy and exhausted when he got home, but he loved it.
My friend Robyn is starting to do paint nights at people's houses and Katy and I put together one for our volleyball friends. It was fun to hang out with all of them.
