July 2016

Tyson has never been excited about getting his picture taken, but one day after church he wanted to pose for me and show me all his silly faces, so I took full advantage of the moment. He is a silly kid.
We decided we didn't want to travel to fireworks for the 4th of July, so we bought a small pack of them and set them off in front of our house. The boys loved playing with the sparklers, but it gives this momma a heart attack cause they aren't careful with them at all. We came away with no injuries this year though.
Dax loved watching all the colors. I enjoyed that he would sit on my lap for that long.
Jungle Jims has $2 Tuesdays so when it's too hot outside we go play inside. Parker got to come with us this day too.
This was Tyson's first time playing T-ball (Which we will never do again, it's a waste of time) and Oakley's second time playing coach pitch baseball. They played at the same field behind Oak's school so it was really convenient. Ty wasn't so sure about it. He liked hitting the ball ok, but they didn't really do much else to help them learn the sport.

Oakley on the other hand was hitting the pitch every time when he was up to bat. I think he'll be good at baseball. It's about the right speed for him.
One hot morning Grandma invited us to go play in the water at their house, so we gladly accepted. Grandpa blew up his big rubber boat and we brought our little kiddy pool. The kids had a blast squirting each other and staying cool. The picture with grandpa and Eliza is one of my favorites.
Dax just wanted to collect all the balls in his bucket and when anyone took one he was mad.
Dax turned 2! He got Zootopia the movie, Arlo the dinosaur from The Good Dinosaur movie, and a little trampoline. He had to taste all of his presents to make sure they were worthy of him.
We invited the cousins over for cake and ice cream and they had fun dressing up and playing in the backyard.
We love our little superman so much. He is so cute and happy all the time. He loves to be outside and he is so brave. He will climb anything.
Sometimes Dax wears himself out. He was so tired one day that he didn't even have the strength to get his hand out of his snack cup before he fell asleep.
Tyson is the funnies kid I know. One day I looked down the hall and saw this...him going to the bathroom as Darth Vader. Haha.
We always have to make one trip up to the top of the mountain at Suncrest to go swimming with our friend Nicole and her daughter Snow. Dax really did love it, even though his face doesn't show it. The boys are all getting so good at swimming. I love it.
Just Dax being Dax. Enjoying his big slide and a frozen go-gurt.
It's fun to get together with the McKnight cousins. We don't see them that often. I love these pictures of them cause you can really see everyone's personalities. Renzo trying to feed Dax some food, Tyson not thrilled to get his picture taken, Lily loving everything about this, Abby being shy but sitting close to Oak, and Scott hugging Ty.
This really needs to be a tradition for us. It's free to go see the 24th of July floats the week before the 24th at the South Town Expo center. These were the boy's favorites.
When we watched the parade on the 24th Tyson was so mad that we weren't there because he knew that we had seen these floats and he wanted to be at the parade, not watching it on TV.
We also had to get some sweet balloon swords.
Doesn't Dax just look so cute on this little Tricycle? And Oakley and Zane always love to dress up and play super heros and bad guys. I love the outfits.
Once again Tyson wanted his picture taken first while he was biting my head, and second at the swimming pool. I guess I'm glad he likes to get his picture taken now. It makes it much easier now, since I take so many.
Sometimes if the kids need to get out of the house we will just go to Toys R' Us and walk around. We don't buy anything, but it's fun to see the toys and play with a few of them. We found these lifesize, (for Dax) Star wars toys and he just wanted to kiss all of them. What a sweet boy.
We spent a lot of this month at the pool, whether it was Seven Peaks, the Murray outdoor pool, or the Cottonwood Heights pool. We would just head to one of them almost every day. The boys love the water.
Oak is such a good big brother. He'll help Dax whenever I need him to, or just on his own. Dax loves his big Oh-Tee.
Once again, it's so cute when Dax sleeps. Wes sometimes has to wake him up from his nap and he captures these sweet moments where Dax is so peaceful and calm. And our little Tyson found one of Oak's hats and looks so dashing in it.
