Oakley turns 6

This year for Oakley's birthday we did a few different things. We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's house and hung out for a while. Oakley got to pick money out of the money jar. He loved that.

Then when dad got home he opened his presents. Boy is he spoiled.

Then he chose to go play at the Castle park in West Jordan. He loves that park so we spent a few hours there.

Then on Friday we had 6 of Oakley's good friends come over for a birthday party. There wasn't really a theme, I just found a few fun things on Pinterest to try. We started out by doing an obstacle course. They had to ride the wiggle bike down the cement, climb up the slide and go down, make their way through the web, cross the plank, and then grab silly string and spray down one of the balloon bad guys. We timed each one and they had a blast going through it.

At the end they all just grabbed the silly string and got all those bad guys. It was a little crazy.
Then we opened presents and had cupcakes. Oak got a bunch of super hero stuff.

After that we had a treasure hunt. The boys were running around like crazy looking for each picture that would tell them where the next picture was. This is one of Oakley's favorite games. The finally found it on the front porch and each of them got a bag of goodies.

The last thing we did was a punch box. I made this cool board with tissue paper and the kids got to choose which whole to punch through and then the got the prize inside. It was pretty fun.

At night we had some family over and had birthday cake.

I think Oak had a pretty fun birthday. He did end up not liking this part though. He got his fingers stuck in a Japanese finger toy behind his back, all on his own doing. It was pretty funny.
